On the first day (August 12th), developers/vendors with working Client or Server software are invited to participate in the 2nd "Plugfest" compatibility workshop. The purpose of this workshop is to allow developers currently working on RETS compatible products to test their software with various other environments to determine their level of compliance with the standard. The Compliance workgroup recently confirmed that RETS 1.0 will be the compliance target for the August "Plugfest". Both 1.0 and 1.5 versions of the compliance tester will be available. Logo testing will be performed for both versions.

NAR is sponsoring the first day, and will reimburse airfare and Hotel expenses (up to $600) for one person representing each company wishing to participate.  Thirty high speed ethernet connections will be available in the room to allow access to company resources.  More information will be available on the RETS site prior to the meeting.

On the second day (August 13th), the RETS working group will follow-up on the issues from the April meeting, present and discuss reports from the various workgroups and discuss outstanding change proposals (http://www.rets.org/comments/index.html). Anyone with an interest in the RETS standard is welcome to attend, but will be responsible for their own expenses for the second day. The format approved by the NAR Board of Directors allows anyone present to vote, and requires a 80% vote to approve changes. An agenda will be posted prior to the meeting.

Both meetings will be working sessions and are not intended to be just informational in nature. Attendees should be familiar with the current status of RETS, and should be prepared to assist in discussing and improving RETS.

NAR will provide Breakfast and Lunch on the 12th and the 13th.

The "Plugfest" will start at 8:30am on the 12th (Breakfast will be served at 8:00 and Lunch will be served at Noon), and will end by 5:00pm. On the 13th, Breakfast will be available at 8:00am, the meeting will start at 8:30am, and it will end by 2:00pm (Lunch will be served at Noon).

We look forward to your participation in this important process, which will help maintain effective Real State Transaction Standards.  Feel free to pass this information on to anyone within your organization that may have an interest in RETS.
